Sewer Project

The west side crew has completed Maple Street north of Lincoln and work will now start on Forest Street to Third Avenue and the area east of Forest Street bordered by First and Third Avenues. The east side crew is finishing up on Hendron Avenue and will continue on to Center Street and Wilson Avenue. Please watch for a stake with lime green ribbon to be placed in your yard indicating where the sewer hook-up will be placed at your property line.

CIPS Tree Trimming

AmerenCIPS is in the area trimming trees that could interfere with electric lines that run from pole to pole.

Provena Medical Center

Provena Medical Center on Sixth Avenue (doctor’s offices in the old hospital) will be bringing in portable office units that will be placed in the northwest parking lot. These units will be here for approximately two years while a new medical center is being built.

Water Tower

Water tower painting will continue through this week. “Clifton” will be displayed on the north and south sides of the tower to be visible to I-57 travelers.

Village E-Newsletter / Village Communication

The village is in the process of compiling a list of residents who would like to receive an e-newsletter. If you would like to receive a copy, please visit the village website at www.cliftonillinois.com, the sign-up link is at the bottom of the first page. Past village communications are also available on the website under “Clifton Village Communication Blog.” You may view communications dating back to February.

Swimming Pools

The Clifton Centennial Pool had a successful opening day! Please contact the pool at (815) 694-2631, to schedule your swimming lessons, pool party rental, or to purchase your season passes.

Clifton Fun Days

The fun day’s committee is looking for people who are interested in hosting a game booth on Saturday, July 10th, from 2-4 p.m. This is a good opportunity to raise money for your organization, team, or to donate to a charity of your choice. If interested, please contact Shannon James at (815) 694-2255. In addition, don’t forget about the parade that will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Fill out an entry form, available at the village office, Clifton Library, or online at www.cliftonillinois.com, under news and events page, or you may contact Shannon as listed above. We welcome anyone who would like to participate.
